INTERCOM TRUST DISABILITY HATE CRIME

towards vulnerable gay child sexual abuse survivor 

After careful consideration Devon & Cornwall police recorded a HATE CRIME complaint made AGAINST the INTERCOM TRUST, Devon. 

 DC Police Incident Hate Crime.  Police log No. 3172109

The complaint was for Intercom Trust’s incitement to hatred against/of a vulnerable disabled person in the ESA severe disability group, & intimidation of the same victim as a homophobic hate crime victim & child rape victim survivor who is to give evidence to the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA). 

The complaint was from

(i)                  a gay man in Cornwall who has experienced multiple incidents of homophobic hate crime (Assaults - multiple, Death & Physical Threats - Multiple, attempted extortion, criminal damage to my property & (former) business, threats & intimidation towards my elderly mother, her tenants & my friends).  These crimes & abuses often encouraged & instigated by institutions like the homophobic Devon & Cornwall police.

(ii)               the victim of the hate crime is a registered disabled person in Cornwall, in the ESA severe disability support group.  Clinically diagnosed by a Clinical Forensic Consultant Psychologist (which means the two forensic reports are admissible as expert witness evidence in court) as suffering from Catastrophic Trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress, extreme anxiety & panic attacks, agoraphobia.

ALL as a result of the hate campaign run against the a gay man since 2004.  This situation brought on by a relentless homophobic HATE CAMPAIGN run by Devon & Cornwall police (& others, like Intercom Trust).  

So intense has been the catalogue of relentless abuse & victimization over a prolonged period of years it has resulted in the gay man being placed in the DWP Disabled ESA severe disability support group. The victim has not left his home unaccompanied since 2007.

(iii)             The hate crime victim is also a survivor of multiple child rape from when he was aged 6-10yrs old.  Child rape reported repeatedly to various Cornwall authorities like police (since 1987) & other organisations (inc. Intercom Trust) over many years & ignored wholesale. 

NB: After fruitless attempts with the corrupt Devon & Cornwall police, in 2013 the victim survivor finally managed to get the more professional Essex police to identify one of the child rapists. 

It took Essex police just one week to identify one of the child rapist who had abused Lidbury from when he was a 6yr old child

It turned out that one of the child rapists Lidbury had been identifying to Devon & Cornwall police for over 27yrs (& to Intercom Trust since 2004), but had been ignored, worse bullied, threatened & intimidated to try to silence ....well the rapist (Hopkins) who abused Lidbury when he was as a 6-10yr old....had according to Essex police abused six other children. 

The gay man has since located/identified two further victims...but police don't want to know.

The victim of Intercom Trust Hate Crime, Malcolm Lidbury has  had it confirmed in writing he shall be giving evidence to the statutory Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse set up by Theresa May Home Secretary. 

He WILL be testifying against numerous Devon & Cornwall police officers, (including senior police officers) & in particular my testimony against organisations like the Intercom Trust which have contributed too & collaborated in bullying & intimidation to try to silence him speaking out on institutional homophobia (in particular that carried out by Cornwall police) & in their collaborating through intimidation in ignoring & covering up child rape.

The history website was specifically collated from archive material due to dishonesty & homophobic prejudice of Devon & Cornwall Constabulary & other organisations (like Intercom) which were radically re-writing, erasing & airbrushing out aspects of Cornwall’s LGBT social & equality campaigning history (including women's groups) over the past quarter of a century.

March 1995 – on going. Devon & Cornwall police ran an active campaign targeting gay/bisexual men in Cornwall. Devon & Cornwall police ran an agent provocateur sting against gay/bi men in Cornwall.  Some victims contacted Lidbury who as editor ran an article in the ICT LGBT newsletter.  The Devon & Cornwall police were breaching Home Office guidelines issued some years previously on stopping of use of deliberate police entrapment using ‘pretty-boy’ police officers in areas frequented by ‘some’ gay/bi men.

 

Mch 95: The LGBT newspaper Pink Paper ran it as a front page article.

 

Matthew Taylor Mp also took up the issue of police targeting gay/bi men. At the time local business traders in some of Cornwall’s High Streets were being told by police there was insufficient police manpower available to deal with a spate of high street vandalism & criminal damage to business properties in Cornwall.

 

Lidbury responded through the local press to the police homophobic hate campaign of targeting police resources at gay men.

May 1995: Gay Times Magazine named Lidbury in the 200th celebratory edition as one of the top 200 gay people in Britain for his contribution to gay community, equality & HIV/AIDS campaigning and awareness in Cornwall.

One memorable fan subscriber to the ICT newsletter a gay man called ‘Charles’ & his life partner David.  Charles was in his 80’s and had contributed written contribution testimony to the 1957 Wolfendon report on decriminalization of homosexuality in the UK.

 

Charles said to Lidbury:

“Remember, we as gay people are only ever one government away from the gas chambers”

 

This comment has never left Lidbury who has encountered gross homophobic protected prejudice from Devon & Cornwall police & from other authorities, including LGBT groups in Cornwall.  The words of 80yr old Charles still ring true today. As without vigilance hard won advances in LGBT equality can be lost or given away by those some now running 'some' LGBT organisations who sellout hard won rights & freedoms for 30 pieces of funding.

 

In 1933 Berlin Germany was the most liberal city in Europe in accepting gay people. By the end of WWII over 10,000+ LGBT person had been sent to Nazi concentration camps.

NB: 2004: Police Homophobia & ignoring of Hate Crimes against gay persons in Cornwall became a bitter issue from 2004.  Lidbury made a formal complaint against a police officer & became the police target of a voracious homophobically motivated police hate campaign & vendetta.....still on going.
